Stop Sleeping #16: The Weeknd

What Is "Stop Sleeping"?
Basically I'm just going to reccomend artists or albums that you might not have checked out. Most of these will be Hip-Hop recommendations, as that's the genre I mostly listen to, but I'll try to keep them appealing to a broader public.


The Weeknd is a must have for anyone who enjoys R&B. His voice is great, his voice is great, his tapes are great. He's been getting a lot more recognition lately, mostly for his work with rapper Drake. He has three tapes, House Of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes Of Silence, and they are best listened to in that order to see his growth as an artist. Echoes of Silence is arguably his best lyrically, but I think the beats and vocals on House of Balloons make it a more enjoyable listen.
